AI educator and DeepLearning.AI founder, Andrew Ng and Meta AI chief Yann LeCun joined Korea’s National AI Committee as advisors. The announcement came following a meeting between Ng and the President of Korea and the Minister of Technology. This collaboration marks a pivotal moment for the country’s AI ambitions, as it leverages the expertise of two of the most influential figures in the field.

South Korea has been witnessing rapid development in the AI landscape marked by substantial government investment, a flourishing startup ecosystem and breakthroughs in AI chip technology. Andrew Ng’s involvement with the National AI Committee will undoubtedly accelerate these advancements.

Andrew Ng’s recent appointment to the National AI Committee comes on the heels of a series of educational initiatives launched through DeepLearning.AI. These courses cover a broad spectrum of AI topics, equipping learners with the skills to build robust AI applications, train models securely on private data, and explore efficient large language model pre-training techniques.

Align AI, another South Korean startup, has garnered recognition for its innovative AI chatbot solutions.
