Creative tech giant Adobe which houses around 8000 employees in India, is expanding its generative AI team and is hiring talented researchers in various fields.
This includes natural language processing, natural language generation, human-computer interaction and user experience research, computer vision, deep learning and machine learning, artificial intelligence, image, audio, video, and multi-modal data processing, and autonomic systems and computing.
Upon joining, the researcher will be responsible for creating, designing, developing, and prototyping AI innovations. Researchers will also transform these innovations into advanced technologies for Adobe’s products, explore new research areas, publish their findings in leading journals and conferences, and collaborate with colleagues from top universities globally.
The ideal candidates must have proven research excellence and a strong publication record. They should be from the educational background of computer science, electrical engineering, and mathematics.
For senior roles, a minimum of seven years of research experience is necessary. Additionally, candidates must show an ability to take bold initiatives, solve complex problems, prioritise tasks, and make informed decisions. Strong analytical, mathematical modelling, and software skills are essential, along with the capability to work at various levels of abstraction.

Previously, Prativa Mohapatra, VP and MD, Adobe India, told AIM that the company’s integration of generative AI focuses on three primary areas within its cloud products: Adobe Experience Cloud, Creative Cloud, and Document Cloud to address the need for faster and more effective content workflows, directly benefiting enterprise customers by reducing time-to-market and enabling personalised customer interactions on a large scale.
The company wants to democratise generative AI-powered content creation with product integrations.
Adobe entered the generative AI race in March 2023 with Adobe Firefly, which it built in collaboration with NVIDIA, and has been coming up with new AI updates pretty frequently.
Now, Adobe will integrate third-party AI tools, including OpenAI’s Sora, into Premiere Pro. Partnering with AI providers like OpenAI, RunwayML, and Pika, it aims to offer users flexibility in choosing AI models for their workflows.
