Association of Data Scientists launches a new certification program for data science newbies

The Association of Data Scientists (ADaSci) has recently launched a new certification program in data science, namely Certified Data Scientist – Associate Level. This certification is suitable for those who are at a very early stage of their career or want to start a career in the data science field.

ADaSci and CDS^TM

ADaSci is the premier global professional body of data science and machine learning professionals, which leads in the development, dissemination and implementation of knowledge and technologies in analytics, decision-making, and management. The primary aim of ADaSci is to help the data science community by providing a platform where persons from the community can come together, share their knowledge and network with each other. 

ADaSci is also known for the Chartered Data Scientist (CDS^TM) program, which is the highest distinction in the data science field. CDS is not a certification program, but it is a charterhood given to those who meet certain criteria. CDS is generally suitable for working professionals in the data science field. The exam to get the CDS charter is also considered to be difficult to crack, which aims at not only skill evaluation but also a career progression with strong ethical standards. Along with that, it also requires two years of working experience to get the CDS charter. Hence this program is more suitable for those who are on their career progression.

Certified Data Scientist – Associate Level

A candidate can register for this anytime throughout the year and schedule the exam at any time at their convenience. The exam is delivered online and can be taken from anywhere in the world. The exam consists of 100 multiple-choice questions and lasts for two hours. 

How to Prepare for it?

Certified Data Scientist – Associate Level is a self-study certification program where the candidates need to prepare themselves for the exam. The candidates are suggested to refer to the standard book in the data science and machine learning field and plan their preparation based on the curriculum of this exam.
