The partnership will focus on language translation services, encompassing translation into 12 languages, text-to-text, text-to-speech, speech-to-text, audio localisation, live video/audio translation, and subtitling.
“We should have a product like Bhashini in France,” said Hélène Quintin, the CEO of KERU Project.
Bhashini, which has recently reduced its translation lag from 6 seconds to 1-2 seconds, provided simultaneous captions during the Finance Minister’s budget speech.
The multilingual enhancement facilitates efficient handling of ticket inquiries, booking tracking, and grievance resolution in the user’s chosen language.
The ambitious project aims to curate datasets of 150,000 hours of natural speech and text from approximately one million people across 773 districts in India.
