Flutter Entertainment, a global leader in online sports betting and iGaming, has inaugurated a new Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad, India, signifying a significant investment in the country’s skills market.
Located at RMZ Spire in Knowledge City, Hyderabad’s premier technology park, the new facility represents a $3.5 million investment, spanning over 80,000 square feet across three floors. This centre of innovation and excellence currently employs over 700 professionals specialising in Data Engineering, Game Integrity Services, HR Operations, Procurement, Safety and Security, and Customer Operations.
The Hyderabad hub will play a crucial role in supporting Flutter’s global brands, including Paddy Power, Sisal, Sky Betting & Gaming, PokerStars, Sportsbet, and Betfair, leveraging the company’s unique competitive advantage, the Flutter Edge.
Flutter aims to increase the headcount at this centre to 900 by 2024, with a target of 40% women in leadership positions by 2026, focusing on data analytics and engineering roles.
“Our expansion in India marks a huge milestone in Flutter’s growth and shows our continued commitment to investing in top talent to drive business growth globally,” said Phil Bishop, Chief Operating Officer at Flutter Entertainment. “The Hyderabad Global Capability Centre is designed to foster creativity and growth, further strengthening our presence in the Indian employment and skills market.”
Ashish Sinha, Managing Director of Flutter Entertainment India, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion, stating, “We are excited to expand our facility in Hyderabad as we continue to strengthen our presence in India. This expansion aligns with our global vision of Changing the Game by enabling continuous improvement in product and technology across iGaming and sports betting across our portfolio of brands.”
In line with Flutter’s global sustainability agenda, the Positive Impact Plan, the new workspace has received Gold certification from the US Green Building Council for its Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.
Additionally, Flutter is contributing GBP 30,000 in 2024 to support local initiatives in Hyderabad, emphasising the company’s commitment to making a positive impact in the communities where it operates.
