Meta has unveiled its new 130,000 sq. ft office in Gurugram. This new office is also one of Meta’s largest office spaces and the first standalone facility in Asia. The DLF-2 workplace is spread over six floors, and Facebook’s old office at Two Horizon Center in DLF-5 has been shut down.
It was inaugurated by Rajeev Chandrashekhar, Minister for Electronics & Information Technology, and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship.
This office will act as the Centre for Fuelling India’s New Economy (C-FINE) and will be dedicated to training and skilling India’s small business owners, entrepreneurs, creators, and local communities to enable digital transformation. The company has set a goal of training 2,50,000 creators and one crore small businesses and entrepreneurs in the next three years.
Detailing more about C-FINE, the company stated that there will be a dedicated area to demonstrate the way in which AR and VR can transform sectors like education, commerce and healthcare. The company also informed that C-FINE is the latest addition to their ‘India-first products and initiatives, which include Reels, Payments on WhatsApp, and Live-Rooms.
